Easy Kids Party Skewers with Popcorn Chicken and Baby Veg

This is a super recipe idea for fussy eaters – it’s colourful and fun with the added benefit of including plenty of healthy veggies! Kids will love to get involved in the preparation of this recipe, which works well as a party food idea too.

  • Yields: 4

Ingredients

1 Genhaven Foods Southern Fried Chicken Poppers 256g pack.

2 tbsp olive oil

200 g baby corn, each corn cut into four pieces

200 g baby plum tomatoes

200 g baby potatoes, peeled and cut into small bit size pieces

1 orange pepper, cut into bite sizes

Directions

1Heat your oven as per the instructions on the Glenhaven pack, remembering that ovens may vary slightly.

2Take a skewer and thread a piece of each of the corn, tomato, potato, orange and chicken popper. Depending on the size of your skewer you may need to repeat the pattern.

3Thread the rest of your skewers with the veggies and chicken poppers.

4Use the olive oil to brush the outside of the vegetables.

5Place your skewers into the oven and bake for 15 minutes.

6Serve immediately.
